This is a whole new world for me. Traveling for work. I am a nurse and have always worked at a hospital. The only traveling I have done is to go to a conference for my specialty, but that is usually within driving distance.
It takes me out of my comfort zone to do it, mostly because I feel stressed out and challenged. I have to make sure I have all my stuff. It is much easier now thanks to smartphones. I have Waze for driving directions, the internet for googling whatever I need. Plus, I have some time by myself. Getting to see a new city is always fun and I love to meet new people. I think that is the best part. Forming new relationships with others. Meeting other nurses and hearing what their experiences have been and how the work.
This is a growth opportunity that I really cherish.
