One week and three days until our departure. We have found a renter for our cabin! We found one through a friend who is also our neighbor. It feels better to know someone will be at our place watching over it while we are away. The issue of where to leave our car is also settled. My daughter and son-in-law said we could leave it with them. So I’m grateful for these two big things. We have paired down our closet and packed away so many items we will not take with us.
It is a good time to organize and give away items we have not used in a year to others who can use them. We have a place called Caring and Sharing in town where we donated clothing and shoes that still have some good life to share. I feel it is so important to only have about 20 items in my closet and keep it seasonally appropriate.
Autumn comes early to our mountains and I have more Winter type items than Summer. Going to France, we will be once again in warmer temperatures and feel like Summer so my clothing will be much lighter.
I am really looking with anticipation to the French market days. We will get to know the markets with the type of produce, bread, wine and cheese we love. So much to see and discover! Our landlady in France has given us a point of contact with a British man who has lived in the area for a long time. He knows about the music venues and cafe’s and also is in charge of running a local charity shop. We told him we would be happy to volunteer there.
This new adventure is going to be so great and I can’t wait to share the new discoveries, food, drink, friends, sights and sounds with you.

Bisous!
