Dad I miss you

By

My sister wrote this and I can only add that he was a most loving Dad and I am so thankful for all the time he spent with us all as kids, camping, being silly, backpacking, skiing , scaring us at Halloween, teaching us how to drive, hugging us just when we needed one, and for me helping me with my Science Fair projects and then being my commuter buddy after he got me my first job at age 18 as a Department Secretary at Ford Aerospace! He was also most awesome as a Grandpa and was very influential for my children. I am missing you and love you so much Dad♥️.

These two never went anywhere without each other so after 60 years of marriage it doesn’t surprise me that yesterday my dad joined my mom in glory six months after her passing.

With the 50th Anniversary of the landing on the moon I think about some of my dad’s career accomplishments. He worked on the lunar landing gear for rocket that went to the moon as well as the seats the astronauts sat on. He invented the satellite 🛰 cell phone. He could design anything and figure out how to fix anything which is why NASA called him when “Houston we have a problem “ from one of the rockets orbiting the moon. He was an amazing dad who was a coached our sport teams, Cub Scout leader, fixed our cars, got us involved in church and played “The Claw” with his grandkids. He did some amazing things but he always said the most important thing to do in life was to make a difference. And he did just that over and over. I was always very proud to call him my dad and I will miss him dearly. Until we meet again Dad. I love you.

Thanks! it’s been a minute since I’ve written a post. I started a new nursing job at a local rural clinic and it is exhausting! Starting a new job at 61 yo! I love being back with patients again. I love them so.
