I woke up this morning to some disturbing news about the US presidential election. I am feeling angry at the fact that most Americans voted in a hateful bully. The thing to remember is that this too shall pass. All is not lost. Many of us did not vote for him. We were ready and not for the first time to live in a country with a woman as a leader. Not only that, a woman of color! Imagine that!

I have no other words. I just wanted a record of my shock and feelings.

    As someone who belongs to a MAGA-targeted group, I soon spent time on social media, consoling people who are aghast at the short-sightedness and ill-intentioned voting public. The main takeaway is that passivity is exactly what the MAGA people want from us. They desire carte blanche to take from our apathetic/passive being. That is how tyranny works. I will not be an uninterested viewer from the sidelines.

      Sorry to be so late to respond, I was trying to yesterday but we were traveling from Southern France to my Son’s in Germany and the WiFi was not very good. I wanted you to know I stand with you. We are in this together.
